Mozaik System: A Revolutionary Modulable Lamp

The Mozaik System is more than just a lamp; it's a space separator and a piece of architectural art. Its unique properties lie in its modularity, allowing it to multiply to infinity and create partition walls or chandeliers. The design is a testament to the infinite possibilities of finishes offered by fabrics and textile cords, resulting in a graphic and customizable lighting panel that sculpts the space.

Oppizzi's inspiration for the Mozaik System comes from the concept of mosaics and their geometric shapes. He aimed to create a luminous surface that falls like a rain of meteorites, cutting through space and providing more than just a point of light. The result is a design that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing, a true embodiment of form meeting function.

The Mozaik System is a product of meticulous research and innovative design. Oppizzi noted that no current modular separation system offers light. Mozaik, with its dual function, allows this fusion between light and space separator. It can be easily removed by removing the horizontal tubes and remains compact when shipped, making it ideal for specific projects such as hotels where it can perfectly separate a lounge area from a restaurant area.

The biggest challenge in creating the Mozaik System was the electrical distribution part, which had to be balanced on each lamp while leaving free the assembly possibilities of variable dimensions. The system is made up of cables wrapped in vertical fabrics separated by a fiberglass rod held by brass connectors. In these connectors, the vertical cables receive the low-voltage current needed to power an LED bulb, which is covered by a hexagonal diffuser in fabric. The fabric of the tube and the electrical cables can be chosen in many variations of colors from the collection of the manufacturer's materials.

The Mozaik System's unique design and functionality have earned it the prestigious Platinum A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award in 2018. This award recognizes world-class, exceptional, and highly innovative designs that showcase unmatched professionalism, contribute to societal wellbeing, and advance the boundaries of art, science, design, and technology.
